Starting March 10, 2025, music delivered to EAHB Media’s Facebook feeds (Facebook Audio Library + Facebook Fingerprinting) will be on the Whatsapp messenger app.
Music in WhatsApp Status
- WhatsApp users can choose to include up to 60 seconds of music from Audio Library to add to their WhatsApp Status, similar to Instagram Stories.
- Users can overlay music on photos or videos within their Status update.
- Statuses are located within the ‘Updates’ section of WhatsApp and remain live for 24 hours.
- WhatsApp Status is a private, end-to-end encrypted space – meaning that users will only be able to share and view statuses with contacts that have both the sender and receiver’s number saved (“dual contact model”).

Music in WhatsApp Channels
- WhatsApp Channels allow people and organisations (e.g., artists, record labels etc) to share updates and information with Channel followers.
- Channels are a one-way broadcast format. Followers cannot reply directly to updates or send messages to Channel admins. Instead, they can show their interest in a Channel’s content by adding emoji reactions to Channel updates or voting on polls.
- Channel followers cannot see any profile information relating to other followers. Interactions with Channel content are not visible to other followers.
